Tune Ups
Regular tune ups are essential in maintaining your bike’s performance and can prevent the issues associated with normal wear-and-tear. We offer two comprehensive tune up packages to keep your bike in optimum condition:
Full Tune Up: at $40, our full tune up includes derailleur (chain adjustments), brake adjustments, minor wheel true, all bearing adjustments, drive train lube, air pressure check, and a bike wipe down,. (Extra labor charges may apply for parts installation.)
Pro Tune Up: at $120, our pro tune up includes our full tune up PLUS major wheel true, drive train clean, overhaul of all bearings. (With the pro tune up there are no labor charges on installation of parts.)
Labor rates are $40 an hour for all other services.

Personalized Fit from BG Certified Technicians
One of the most cost effective ways to improve your comfort and efficiency while riding is to have your bike properly fit to you. At High Desert Bicycles, our staff will take appropriate measures to find the bike that fits you properly. We will also include with any bicycle purchase an initial sizing to make sure that you are ready to ride as you head out the door. If you already have a bike, or need a tweak on a bike you’ve had for a while, we have a few options, including:
Professional Sizing
As part of our professional sizing package, we will perform the following services to ensure that you receive the proper fit:
- Saddle Height Adjustment
- Saddle Fore/Aft Placement
- Stem Assessment for Reach and Drop
- Cleat Alignment

Certified BG (Body Geometry) Fit
Our BG Fit certified technicians will conduct a 20-point assessment to determine your flexibility, strength and bone structure. This enables us to determine your unique bio-mechanical profile so we can make adjustments that will maximize your bike’s performance. A bike should always be made to fit the rider—not the other way around. Our Certified BG fit includes:
Flexibility Analysis
To achieve a more precise fit, we spend time testing your flexibility limits to ensure that no physical limitations are exceeded when on the bike. This helps us to achieve maximum power while still maintaining comfort.
Strength Analysis
To make sure your bike is built to meet your needs, we will conduct a thorough strength analysis. By making fine-tuned adjustments, we can tailor your bike to fit you perfectly!
Bone Structure Analysis
We look closely at the structure of the feet and legs to help keep proper alignment of the hip, knee, and foot while on the bicycle. The back and shoulders are also observed closely as we try to mimic the natural tendencies of your body while in your normal riding position. We are again looking to get more efficiency while maintaining comfort.
The adjustments performed in a sizing are also performed in the BG Fit, but with more emphasis placed on cleat adjustment and/or shims or footbeds for better foot alignment and support. Our Fit technicians have been certified with training from Specialized and have years of experience finding the correct bike fit for any body shape or riding style.
